Research has suggested that going to sleep with an actively
negative mindset can cause those negative thoughts to linger. Sleep has the ability to reinforce and
preserve certain thoughts that have had an emotional impact on a person. It is
important to clear the mind of negative energy before bed to ensure a good
nights rest free of unwanted reoccurring thoughts.
This is an interesting fact. It would be imteresting to see maybe a list of examples or tequniques to try out to clear the mind before you go to sleep.
ReplyDeleteI believe this. There have been times that I've gone to bed angry and woken up angry at the same thing. I agree with Janelle. Techniques on how to go to sleep without these negative moods would be helpful.
ReplyDeleteI agree with this. When I go to sleep in a bad mood or with negative thoughts I don't sleep well and I usually continue the negative thoughts the next day. Going to sleep with these thoughts and in a bad mood usually makes it harder to get rid of them.
